Heard Petals (Sonapapari-শোনপাপড়ি) – It’s a very tasty sweet of bangladesh. As a Bangladeshi Food it is a traditional food.

Ingredients Heard Petals

  • Flour (11/4)
  • Bason (11/4)
  • Ghee (250 gms)
  • Sugar (21/2)
  • Water (11/2 cup)
  • Milk (2 tablespoons)
  • Cardamom powder (12 tsp)
  • Four nuts (2 tbsp)
  • Four square thick polythene seats.

Preparation

First mix the flour and gram flour well.
Take a large pan in the oven. Let the ghee heat in it.
Now put the mixture of gram flour and flour in hot ghee. Stir gently on low flame. You will see a golden feeling.
When done, let it cool down.
Make the syrup at this time.
Mix sugar, water and milk together to make syrup.
When the syrup is ready, pour it slowly into the flour mixture.
Now you have to exercise like threshing flour.
When it becomes quite thick, make a layer in a dish.
Now grind cardamom and cardamom. When powdered, spread the mixture on a plate.
Let cool.
Now cut it into squares with a knife.
Very good, if placed in a square plastic seat. If you put it in an airtight container, it will stay for a long time.
